I would be willing ot make another Motorized Love seat. It would cost about $1000 or so.
Here are the features of Damian and Leah's love seat: Two Deep cycle batteries. ZAP bicycle motors, 4 of them. Two on each wheel. On off switch on top of the steering arm. two relays to control the amperage. A very nice circuit breaker for safety and master on off switch. The front wheel is a large castor which provides for good tracking and stering stability. It worked very well. In the video a bolt fell off, of course. I only got that one video of them. They were off partying like mad men the rest of their time at Burningman.
They tell me they got a lot of compliments on my design from other peopl ewho had multiple vehicle out there.
The batteries last about 6 hours when charged up fully and it seemed about 4 hours with a 90 minute charge from a 40 amp charger.
There is a generator on Ebay that puts out 90 amps of 12 votl power for $245. I think that would be cool. Then it would be a real hybrid. The generator is a 13" cube.
Shock absorbers would also be good if the conditions are the same next year, but that is unlikely.
PA can be installed for about $200, cassette player, lights and so forth decorations and kind of couch are all negotiable. I could even make a trailer for it. All this is possible for a small compensation.
The motors can be run on 24 volts for speed that will get you a ticket on the playa. 12 volts is just about the right speed. Their loveseat did not break down. A bolt fell out of the steering arm in the video and they ran out of power a couple of times. I gave them a get home back up battery but they didn't carry it. You can email them for first hand information. Damian and Leah.
