Kathy
arrived the day before and homesteaded 3:30 and Istanbul (not Constantinople)
for our headquarters. This is what it looked like when we got there.
We may have been closer to Bruno's than to the man. But this turned
out to be a great spot mainly because there was no dust storms out
here. When the playa was unbearable, our camp was clear and nice.
The weather this
year was the nicest I remember ever having despite the two dust
storms.

Setting up the
canopy on Sunday morning.
We arrived before sun down Saturday but entry was delayed for several
hours due to burning man bureaucracy |

Then
it rained hard for a little while. We all ended up in the circus tent
and Kimric brought out his home made Plum Vodka/Brandy Booze, which
was delicious.
We had to pry the bottle out of Liz's hands. |

Soon Doctor Hall appeared and gave a long toast, which is shown
in the photo.
We went outside
to find a double rainbow which was more brilliant in real life than
these photos can show. We took it to mean the Kimric's moonshine
will not run out for 40 days and 40 nights. |

Kimric brought out his MP3 Player and everyone started dancing. |

covers the first couple of days through Monday night. |
