We arrived Monday night at midnight and camped on 8 and A st., which was one block from the esplanade.
I thought the eclipse was Monday night so we sat up waiting for it for a long time.
The next night was the eclipse. Again we sat up waiting for it. When the eclipse was total, as I remember, the the man lit on fire. There was pandemonium in the streets. Many police and several fire trucks appeared out of no where. |
